Patek Philippe Nautilus Haute Joaillerie 7118/1450R-001
Patek Philippe Nautilus Haute Joaillerie 7118/1450R-001
35.2MM, PAVE DIAMOND DIAL, BATON NUMERALS.
Few watches have the iconic status of the Nautilus, which was first launched by Patek Philippe 45 years ago in 1976. Showcasing a tactile rugged design that was inspired by the structure and hinges of a ship's porthole, this was something completely fresh and new. The Nautilus family has grown massively over the past decades, with numerous models being added and a ladies' reference first appearing in 1980. The current 7118/1A was first seen in 2015 and has proved an incredibly popular addition to the family. Showcasing superb craftsmanship, Patek Philippe have launched a showpiece warm 18ct rose gold Haute Joaillerie version in 2021, which has been hand set with 12.69ct of colourless and internally flawless sparkling diamonds. Water resistant to 30m, this model dazzles the eye with a richly paved dial and incredible snow-set diamond case and bracelet. Snow-setting is a complicated and time-consuming technique that requires expert knowledge and skill. A 35.2mm case size ensures this piece will have an elegant presence on the wrist and can be worn effortlessly from a casual lunch to a glamorous cocktail party. The famous self-winding calibre 324 S powers this model, offering a minimum 45-hour power reserve.
A rare and special piece to be worn now and looked after for the next generation, this superb piece perfectly encapsulates fine watchmaking and gem setting, both of which are central to the Patek Philippe tradition.
